- The Master's program in Counseling Psychology, building on a multidisciplinary core, has been designed to prepare working adults to meet the challenges involved in providing counseling services to individuals and/or groups, and to be effective facilitators of change and growth. Students who complete the program are well prepared to pursue doctoral degrees or enter professional work settings. The 60-credit mental health specialization meets the educational requirements for licensure as a professional counselor in New Jersey. The 48-credit school counseling specialization meets the educational requirements for certification as a School Counselor in New Jersey. The 30-credit specialization prepares students to apply for doctoral training in Psychology.
