- The College of Emmanuel and St. Chad's "Theological Education at a Distance"program is a program of guided independent study designed to meet the needs of the modern student who, for a variety of reasons, is unable to attend seminary for the full residency program. Through this alternative program students are able to complete their first year of a program of studies leading to either the Bachelor of Theology, Master of Divinity or Master of Theological Studies degree.
