Program Description:

Florence is an art lover’s dream and a food lover’s paradise. During your winter break, you can dive right into exploring this stunningly visual city on our January in Florence program. To make the most of your time abroad, we’ll quickly immerse you in local Italian and Florentine culture. Join excursions in and around Florence to galleries and famous sites. You’ll study at Florence University of the Arts and you’ll practice Italian with friendly locals. How do you say, “Another gelato, please?”

Setting Description:

You’ll love living in amazing Florence. The relatively small city is perfect for a short-term study abroad program because you’ll be able to get to know the city well, but still find new things to keep you busy at every turn! There are countless museums, galleries, restaurants, shops and plazas to explore. Visit the famous Duomo and walk across the incredible Ponte Vecchio during your stay in Florence. It’s easy to get out and see the rest of Italy, too! Public buses are available to take you into neighboring towns, or you could get on a train and see places like Rome, Venice, Milan or Pisa. Our CISabroad staff will take you off the beaten path to locations that most tourists don’t get to see.
