The Department of Mathematics teaches students to have a literate mind through an understanding of the basic concepts and research on the nature of pure mathematics such as algebra, geometry and analysis. The study of applied mathematics such as statistics and computer science are also emphasized. Graduates can solve various problems in their lives and in modern industrial society through the mathematical methods with creativity and applicability.
