Program Description:

The Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management aims to: enhance and broaden the existing conceptual, practical and technical knowledge and skills gained from prior formal studies and relevant professional experience; develop the student's ability to contribute to the development of the organisation's policies and the effective implementation of such policies; provide the student with an understanding of the financial management and other control systems that can be implemented in an organisation to ensure the effective and efficient utilisation of resources; provide the student with an understanding of the legal environment in which public sector entitiesoperate; and provide students with an appreciation of the contemporary public sector environment and the needfor effective management structures, processes and styles that are adaptive and responsive to changes in that environment.
