Program Overview

Program Description:
The Entry Level Master of Science in Nursing Track is designed for non-nurses holding baccalaureate degrees in another field, who are interested in completing course requirements leading to a graduate degree in nursing. Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination and the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) certification examination. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degree Program in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for RNs prepares advanced practice nurses to manage the care of individuals and families across lifespan. Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for the FNP national certification examination through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP).

Accreditation:
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges granted its approval in March 2009. The program was granted initial approval by the California Board of Registered Nursing in June 2009.
