Program Description:

This is the only Online LLM in Chinese Law by a Chinese University and is officially awarded by the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Education.

The Online LLM by distance learning is provided on an online platform through online video, slideshows and assignments that allow flexible learning from anywhere in the world. 

These courses run for a period of 2 years. The first year has two semesters the available courses in this year are listed below. The second year is for writing the dissertation. Students also have the opportunity to take work experience at a top 5 law firm in China at any point in the two years.

All students who enroll on these online programs are able to take an internship at a top 5 Chinese Law firm.

Online LLM (Masters of Law)

The LLM by distance learning is the official online LLM awarded by Beijing Foreign Studies University, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China. Students are required to complete all the required work and complete an online defense of their dissertation in order to be awarded the online LLM.

Students are required to visit Beijing in September at the start of the year to officially enroll at the University. Students will meet fellow students, the teaching faculty, and participate in information sessions about the program. Students will also have the opportunity to partake in a variety of trips in Beijing as paid for by the school, the schedule for this week can be downloaded on the right.
