Program Overview

Program Description:
The Certificate in Individual Fundraising will deliver a ten session training program oriented to individual solicitation planning and implementation techniques for not-for-profit (NFP) current or future professionals. Over 80% of donations come from individual donors; in this certificate program taught by nationally accomplished individual soliciting and fundraising professionals, students will learn the intricate art of asking for money and support directly from these individuals. This certificate is far more than just mastering “the ask” of individual solicitation; students will develop strategies to develop individual solicitation platforms through individual prospecting, storytelling, donor cultivation and engagement, communication strategies, and planning and executing successful individual soliciting plans as part of a fundraising campaign. All of our NFP Certificates are designed to help you advance your organization and your career in the NFP sector. These certificates are a great alternative to an advanced degree in NFP, and will provide current and/or future not-for-profit managers with necessary tools to make educated decisions on behalf of their organization.
