- The Accounting concentration is a program of advanced accounting classes for managers that have undergraduate degrees in accounting and want to take additional classes in subjects that are critical in their work situations. The courses offered are eligible for continuing education requirements as set forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) or the Michigan State Board of Accountancy. The accounting concentration is designed to provide a balanced broad education and an in-depth understanding of the theoretical and practical concepts of accounting. Students enrolling in this concentration must have a minimum of 16 quarter hours of undergraduate accounting. This would include at least eight hours principles of accounting and at least four hoursof intermediate accounting.
