Drawing on the best of the humanities, social and natural sciences, psychology, and religious and spiritual traditions, Atlantic University's vision is to offer the most unique and distinguished course of scholarship in the field of transpersonal studies by: Providing a stimulating academic curriculum that focuses on the nature of consciousness, the nature of personal belief and personal spirituality, the nature of holistic living, and the interrelationship between body, mind and spirit; Providing a high quality continuing and professional education curriculum in a variety of fields related to body, mind and spirit; Understanding and meeting the needs of its students, communities and other constituents as they follow their various professional career paths; Fostering knowledge of the existence of a dimension to human nature greater than the individual and instilling the notion that connecting with this larger part of one’s self is instrumental to creativity, health, and optimum human performance; Encouraging students to test and apply transpersonal concepts personally in order to experience personal growth and integration; Enabling individuals to change their lives for the better, positively affecting their relationships and their surroundings in the process; --giving individuals life experience with their highest integrated potential and theirinterrelationship to the rest of humankind. The Masters Degree Courses All courses offered in the Masters of Arts in Transpersonal Studies confer three credit hours upon successful completion. Currently the courses are organized under the following broad subject matter headings: Archetypal Studies (AS), Creativity Studies (CS), Creative Writing from a Transpersonal Point of View (CWT), Healing Modalities and Traditions (HMT), Integrated Spirituality (IS), Leadership, Peace-building and Conflict Resolution (LP), Transpersonal Hypnosis (TH),Transpersonal Studies (TS), and Transpersonal Visual Arts (TVA).

Master of Arts in Transpersonal Studies- General admission requirements for acceptance into the graduate degree program are: -Graduation with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or its international equivalent -A minimum undergraduate grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale -Completion of an application for admission -Official transcripts from all institutions where degrees have been obtained or relevant courses taken. Transcripts must arrive in their original sealed envelopes. -Payment of a $50 nonrefundable application fee -3-5 page personal essay Non-Credit admissions requirements- General admission requirements for acceptance into the non-credit are: -Completion of a Continuing Education Application -Payment of $35 nonrefundable application fee -A 2-3 page personal essay
