The Aquinas College M.A.T. program was created to offer advanced studies for classroom teachers and to improve the quality of direct instruction to children; it focuses on theory, practical applications and a humanistic approach to education. The M.A.T. (Initial Cert.) leads to certification to teach in the state of Michigan while earning a Master's degree.
