Program Description:

Join API for an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience this summer, living and learning in an English country manor house in true Hogwarts style! You will live and eat the majority of your meals, including a welcome banquet in the manor house and your classes will be held in the manor's staterooms. Orientation will be held in London where we will spend 3 days seeing the major sites. Education will extend beyond the classroom and there will be plenty of field trips in the afternoons to local castles, manor houses, and villages for students to immerse themselves in the English tradition and culture. Students are offered a variety of opportunities to socialize and stay active through playing sports you are familiar with, as well as learning new ones (cricket, rugby, or handball). Setting Description:

From Stonehenge and Tower Bridge to Eton and Oxford, England is home to a multitude of cherished icons of past eras. The tales of King Arthur; the works of Shakespeare; the exploits of Drake; the leadership of Churchill; the cult of Diana - all are continuously celebrated in England, providing a cultural backdrop to an unparalleled range of historic buildings, monuments, and landscapes. Contemporary England has a richly multi-ethnic culture. Famously, fish and chips gave way some years ago to chicken tikka masala as the country's favorite dish, showing how the English increasingly embrace an international lifestyle.
