Program Overview

Program Description:
The program offers a two or three credit course in Conflict Resolution from Religious Traditions during the first two weeks of January each year.

This course will explore traditional dispute resolution methods such as the Beth Din, Christian and Muslim courts, and Palestinian sulha; the ways in which the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim religious traditions have shaped dispute resolution values; some of the major conflicts which face Israeli society today and the ways in which modern dispute resolution methods have been adapted to the cultures within Israel to resolve these conflicts

Setting Description:
Students stay at the Mount Scopus campus of Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
