What To Do When You're Not At Home For The Holidays
This is a guest blog from Sarah Hansell who studied abroad with John Cabot University in Rome in 2012.
Never have I ever booked my own flight before. I was terrified. I looked on a ton of different sites using search engines to try and find the best deal. However, I soon came to realize that crossing the pond is no small feat (and the taxes for international travel are astronomical).
I wasn’t wise enough to take advantage of the unique opportunity that studying abroad offers. However, my desire to travel abroad was resolute and upon graduating from Florida State University this past May, a friend and I took some time to travel across the pond and backpack around Europe.
And so I did it again,
I went to the Kintamani area but this time with my friend Dennis. We arrived in
the middle of the day, found a cheap room and after a quick lunch we were off
to the Batur Lake. Once again I was impressed by the wild nature in this area,
so going twice was absolutely worth it.
