11 Michigan State University students on an exchange program in India are getting valuable lessons outside of the classroom. The MSU students are part of a month-long Study Abroad program of the university with the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS).
The MSU students are seeing the vetinary profession from an Indian viewpoint and have been impressed with the level of care and professionalism.
“We saw a badly injured horse being offered best of treatment by the vets here. But the same horse would have been either allowed to die a natural death or be subject to euthanasia in US, if it were found to be of little use,” stated one of the students, Amanda Audo.
