The bar has just been raised at George Washington University as seven GW students have been awarded scholarships to study abroad. Having seven winners of this scholarship is a new record for GW.
The highly competitive 2008-09 David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarships were awarded by the National Security Education Program. The Boren Scholarships are intended to provide support to U.S. undergrads who will pursue the study of languages and cultures currently underrepresented in study abroad and are critical to U.S. national security.
