Arabic Language Interest Growing

June 18th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Here are two postings regarding an increased interest in Arabic Language. One coming from a student’s viewpoint on returning to learn more; Learning Arabic Abroad

And the other posting on how an organization is planning to grow to keep up with demand; Demand for Learning Arabic Abroad

While the number of students heading to this area of the world is still small - the growth in interest and participation is a good sign. Keeping the steady growth and interest going and not getting caught up in the hype will be key to making real strides to increasing growth. Also finding employment after building a skill set with Arabic language is a must.

What do you think is the cause of the increased interest in the language? Do students think they will need to know it in the future for business purposes, or are they just interested?

    Matt,

The media drives so much of the interest for students. I think the next influence groups to consider are friends and their classes. Learning Arabic will certainly make you stand out with other graduates.
